"I Believe in the Forgiveness of Sins"
Confession of Faith
"I believe in the forgiveness of sins..."
Intro
What kind of blessings have you experienced in your life so far? Which of them is the greatest? "I experienced this kind of blessing," "I experienced this miracle"—there may be many things. However, I believe it is this: "My sins have been forgiven!" Is there any blessing greater than this? This is a gift that God is trying to give to all of us. Have you received it?
We are studying the Apostles' Creed. The Apostles' Creed was born based on the declaration of faith that Christians in Rome in the 2nd century confessed when they were baptized. It is still declared in churches all over the world today. It can be said that this is a summary of what we Christians believe—what an ordinary Christian believes. This faith has sustained Christians, and it is a confession of hope for us today as well. Let us confess together today. Please stand. Today, I want to speak on the theme of the forgiveness of sins. May you go home with the conviction that you are forgiven.
1. Understanding Sin
What you believe determines how you live. Do you believe in the forgiveness of sins? The truth is, surprisingly many people lack this conviction. A life of faith without the conviction of the forgiveness of sins is painful; there is no joy. Conversely, not understanding the seriousness of sin also results in a lack of joy. To live with joy, it is important to understand both the seriousness of sin and the fact that it has been forgiven. Let us consider the seriousness of sin.
Romans 3:23: "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
Everyone has sin. Even if you have never had trouble with the police, there is sin in your heart. There is the ego. There are selfish, self-centered thoughts. There are many mistakes. Admitting that "I, too, have sin" is the first step toward recovery.
As I always say, it is just like surgery. When a doctor tells you, "You have cancer. You need surgery," if you say, "I don't!" or "I won't admit it," the doctor will be at a loss. Or if you say, "Well, I suppose it might be there. But oh well, it'll probably get better if I just sleep," the doctor will be troubled. That won't cure it. It's not that simple. Sin is serious. You cannot remove it by your own strength, and it won't be cured by sleeping. "All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." This means you cannot go to heaven.
A bad doctor might say, "Oh, is that so? Then you can just die," but a good doctor will desperately try to save you. That is why the Bible says: You have sin. You're in a bad way as you are. You need surgery. You need help. You need to change direction. You cannot enter heaven as you are.
God wants to help you. But God does not force surgery upon you. The choice is yours: to reject God's salvation, or to change direction and look toward God.
By the Holy Spirit Recently, we learned about the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is God. The Holy Spirit also performs an important work in knowing sin. The week before last, I spoke about the Holy Spirit. Actually, on the Tuesday before that, I met and talked with a member. They were going through a hardship and didn't know what to do, but I told them this: "Isn't what you need to be filled with the Holy Spirit?" We prayed together. Afterward, they reportedly experienced the filling of the Holy Spirit. They began to pray in tongues. They understood what God desired. They understood the Bible. They understood their own sin.
Do you remember the message from the week before last? When we are filled with the Holy Spirit, we understand the Gospel, we understand the Bible, and we are made like Jesus. We are filled with power. That person was filled with the Holy Spirit, and then that Sunday, they heard the message about the Holy Spirit here. After the service, they came to me and said, "What you said in the message is true. That is exactly what happened to me."
Hearing that testimony, I thought once again: "It really is by the Holy Spirit." That's why we must seek Him more. God is certainly working within us. The Bible says you do not receive because you do not ask. My wish is that a hunger and thirst for the Holy Spirit will arise in this church. When the Holy Spirit works, you are transformed.
The key to worship is whether the Holy Spirit works there. Please pray: "Holy Spirit, please work. Please give me understanding." It is the Holy Spirit who transforms you.
And I want you to know today: When the Holy Spirit works, sin is understood.
John 16:8: "And when he comes, he will convict the world concerning sin and righteousness and judgment."
That is what happened on the day of Pentecost. The reaction of the people who heard Peter's message is interesting.
Acts 2:37: "Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, 'Brothers, what shall we do?'"
Peter spoke the message filled with the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit, who is God, worked there. Then, the people were shown their sin, and the event of repentance occurred. The common point of revival is repentance—whether it be as a group or as an individual. The key is that one understands their own sin. Even for those who are Christians, they understand their own lukewarmness. They realize they haven't been living in the Gospel.
The Holy Spirit teaches us about sin not to condemn us. It is so that we change direction and live a good life. We want to be people who always repent in a forward-looking way. We want to walk while praying, "Please let me be someone who truly lives by Your Word."
2. Let Us Receive Forgiveness
It is important to know that there is sin. However, we should note that the Apostles' Creed is not a confession of "I believe I have sin," but a confession of "the forgiveness of sins."
I want you all to know this. Everyone will eventually stand before God.
Hebrews 9:27: "And just as it is appointed for man to die once, and after that comes judgment,"
But at the same time, the Bible says this:
John 5:24: "Truly, truly, I say to you, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life. He does not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life."
Christians do not face judgment. Everyone will eventually stand before God, but you do not stand there to receive a sentence of guilt. It is to receive a crown. The devil condemns you. But you are already forgiven. Why? By what? It is by the blood of Jesus Christ.
1 Peter 1:18: "Knowing that you were ransomed from the futile ways inherited from your forefathers, not with perishable things such as silver or gold,"
1 Peter 1:19: "But with the precious blood of Christ, like that of a lamb without blemish or spot."
Ephesians 2:8: "For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,"
It is not by effort. It is by faith. This is the foundation of the Christian faith. This salvation is God's gift—a present. We receive it. We were forgiven by grace. By grace. You are loved today, too.
Purchased. Paid for.
3. The Payment is Already Finished
I want you to firmly grasp today and take home the fact that the payment is completely finished.
Are you keeping score for yourself? "Oh, I sinned again. Minus one point. I used a bad word. Minus one point." Saying "God, I'm sorry" over and over.
What does the Bible say?
Colossians 2:13b-14: "...having forgiven us all our trespasses, by canceling the record of debt that stood against us with its legal demands. This he set aside, nailing it to the cross."
The "record of debt" is, in other words, proof of a debt. A paper saying, "You owe this much; you have an obligation to pay it back." It's a list of sins. God has made this invalid. It was nailed to the cross.
When Jesus took our sins upon Himself and went to the cross, our sins were also nailed to the cross there. It ended there.
On the cross, Jesus said, "It is finished." In Greek, this is Tetelestai. This is a word that means "paid in full." He has paid everything.
When I went to America recently, many people were kind to me. When we went out to eat, everyone would pay for us. I was humbled and overwhelmed. But what if we—my wife and I—were so overwhelmed that we lingered around the cash register forever? "It's already been paid!" The people at the shop would be troubled, too.
Japanese people are not very good at receiving, are they? Because of our culture of returning favors. Recently, we visited the Walker home and were treated to a meal. Even when told "Please relax" during cleanup, I couldn't relax. The two of us—my wife and I—kept standing the whole time.
I was struck by what Maria said to me: "Ayumi-san, you've never sat on our sofa, have you?" It was true. Even though she wished for me to relax.
And I thought: Perhaps many people are like that. God is telling us that He has forgiven us. He is telling us that the payment is already finished. He wants us to be joyful. He is inviting us into rest. And yet, we are not resting. With a guilty face, we say, "No, but..." "Is it really okay?" And then, carrying our list of sins, carrying the receipt that has already been paid, we wander around. We have never sat in the rest that God has prepared.
Are you at rest? God has paid for everything—past sins and the sins you will commit in the future. The record of debt was nailed to the cross. I have been forgiven. Even though I did nothing. There is no grace like this.
The Bible says that God has reconciled with us. To reconcile means to make up, right? I thought this was a wonderful thing. Even though God did nothing wrong, before we could even say "I'm sorry," He offered, "Let's make up."
The greatest grace I have received in my life—is it not that my sins have been forgiven? Because of that, I am walking in peace today. There is hope. There is gratitude.
You are completely forgiven. I believe in the forgiveness of sins.

1. 理解罪

羅馬書 3:23 因為世人都犯了罪，虧缺了神的榮耀。
每個人都有罪。即使你從未進過警察局，心裡也有罪。有自我，有自私、自我中心的念頭，有許多的過錯。 承認「我也有罪」，是邁向恢復的第一步。

上帝想要幫助你。但上帝不會強迫進行手術。選擇權在你：是拒絕上帝的救恩，還是轉向並注視上帝的一方。

2. 領受赦免
知道自己有罪固然重要。但要注意的是，《使徒信經》並不是告白「我相信我有罪」，而是告白「罪得赦免」。
我希望大家知道這件事。 每個人終將站在上帝面前。
希伯來書 9:27 按著定命，人人都有一死，死後且有審判。
但同時聖經也這樣說：
約翰福音 5:24 我實實在在地告訴你們：那聽我話、又信差我來者的，就有永生，不至於定罪，是已經出死入生了。
基督徒不會面臨審判。雖然每個人終將站在上帝面前，但你站在那裡不是為了接受有罪判決，而是為了領受冠冕。 魔鬼會控告你。但你已經被赦免了。 為什麼？憑什麼？是憑著耶穌基督的血。

3. 債務已經償清
我希望大家今天能牢牢抓緊「債務已完全償清」這件事並帶回家。
你是否在為自己打分數？「啊，又犯罪了，扣一分」、「說了不好的話，扣一分」。一邊說著「上帝對不起，對不起」。
聖經怎麼說呢？
歌羅西書 2:13b-14 ……赦免了你們（我們）一切過犯，抹去了那針對我們、對我們不利的債務證書，就是那在種種條規中責備我們的，並把它從中除掉，釘在十字架上。
債務證書換句話說就是借據。是一張寫著「你欠了這麼多，有義務償還」的紙。是罪的清單。上帝將它作廢了，將它釘在了十字架上。
耶穌背負我們的罪被釘在十字架上，這意味著我們的罪也在那裡被釘在了十字架上，在那裡終結了。
耶穌在十字架上說了：「成了（Finished）」。希臘語是 Tetelestai。這是代表「已支付完畢」的詞。 祂已經全部支付了。

2. Tanggapin Natin ang Kapatawaran

3. Ang Bayad ay Tapos Na

Ikaw ba ay nakakapagpahinga? Binayaran na ng Diyos ang lahat—mga kasalanan noon at mga kasalanan na magagawa mo pa sa hinaharap. Ang record of debt ay ipinako sa krus. Pinatawad na ako. Kahit wala akong ginawa. Walang biyaya na hihigit pa rito.

Introdução
Que tipos de bênçãos você experimentou em sua vida até agora? Qual delas é a maior? "Experimentei este tipo de bênção", "Experimentei este milagre" — pode haver muitas coisas. No entanto, acredito que seja isto: "Meus pecados foram perdoados!" Haverá bênção maior do que esta? Este é um presente que Deus está tentando dar a todos nós. Você já o recebeu?
Estamos estudando o Credo Apostólico. O Credo Apostólico nasceu baseado na declaração de fé que os cristãos de Roma, no século II, confessavam ao serem batizados, entre outras ocasiões. Ainda hoje é declarado em igrejas de todo o mundo. Pode-se dizer que este é um resumo do que nós, cristãos, acreditamos — o que um cristão comum acredita. Esta fé sustentou os cristãos do passado e é uma confissão de esperança para nós hoje também. Vamos confessar juntos hoje. Por favor, fiquem de pé. Hoje quero falar sobre o tema do perdão dos pecados. Que você volte para casa com a convicção de que está perdoado.
1. Entendendo o Pecado
O que você acredita determina como você vive. Você acredita no perdão dos pecados? A verdade é que, surpreendentemente, muitas pessoas carecem dessa convicção. Uma vida de fé sem a convicção do perdão dos pecados é sofrida; não há alegria. Por outro lado, não entender a gravidade do pecado também resulta em falta de alegria. Para viver com alegria, é importante entender tanto a gravidade do pecado quanto o fato de que ele foi perdoado. Vamos considerar a gravidade do pecado.
Romanos 3:23 Porque todos pecaram e destituídos estão da glória de Deus.
Todos têm pecado. Mesmo que você nunca tenha tido problemas com a polícia, há pecado em seu coração. Existe o ego. Existem pensamentos egoístas e autocentrados. Existem muitos erros. Admitir que "eu também tenho pecado" é o primeiro passo para a recuperação.
Como sempre digo, é exatamente como uma cirurgia. Quando um médico lhe diz: "Você tem câncer. Você precisa de cirurgia", se você disser: "Não tenho!" ou "Não admito", o médico ficará sem saber o que fazer. Ou se você disser: "Ah, talvez exista mesmo. Mas tudo bem, vai melhorar se eu apenas dormir", o médico ficará preocupado. Isso não vai curar. Não é tão simples assim. O pecado é sério. Você não pode removê-lo por sua própria força, e não será curado dormindo. "Todos pecaram e destituídos estão da glória de Deus". Isso significa que você não pode entrar no céu.
Um médico ruim poderia dizer: "Ah, é mesmo? Então você pode morrer", mas um bom médico tentará desesperadamente salvá-lo. É por isso que a Bíblia diz: Você tem pecado. Você está em uma situação ruim como está. Você precisa de cirurgia. Você precisa de ajuda. Você precisa mudar de direção. Você não pode entrar no céu como está.
Deus quer ajudá-lo. Mas Deus não força a cirurgia sobre você. A escolha é sua: rejeitar a salvação de Deus ou mudar de direção e olhar para o lado de Deus.
Pelo Espírito Santo Recentemente, aprendemos sobre o Espírito Santo. O Espírito Santo é Deus. O Espírito Santo também realiza um trabalho importante em nos fazer conhecer o pecado. Na semana retrasada, falei sobre o Espírito Santo. Na verdade, na terça-feira anterior a isso, encontrei-me e conversei com um membro. Ele estava passando por uma dificuldade e não sabia o que fazer, mas eu lhe disse o seguinte: "Não é de ser cheio do Espírito Santo que você precisa?" Oramos juntos. Depois disso, ele relatou ter experimentado o enchimento do Espírito Santo. Começou a orar em línguas. Entendeu o que Deus desejava. Entendeu a Bíblia. Entendeu seu próprio pecado.
Vocês se lembram da mensagem da semana retrasada? Quando somos cheios do Espírito Santo, entendemos o Evangelho, entendemos a Bíblia e somos feitos semelhantes a Jesus. Somos cheios de poder. Aquela pessoa foi cheia do Espírito Santo e, então, naquele domingo, ouviu a mensagem sobre o Espírito Santo aqui. Após o culto, veio até mim e disse: "O que você disse na mensagem é verdade. Foi exatamente o que aconteceu comigo".
Ouvindo esse testemunho, pensei mais uma vez: "Realmente é pelo Espírito Santo". É por isso que devemos buscá-Lo mais. Deus certamente está trabalhando dentro de nós. A Bíblia diz que vocês não recebem porque não pedem. Meu desejo é que surja nesta igreja uma fome e sede pelo Espírito Santo. Quando o Espírito Santo trabalha, você é transformado.
A chave do culto é se o Espírito Santo trabalha ali. Por favor, orem: "Espírito Santo, por favor, trabalhe. Por favor, me dê entendimento". É o Espírito Santo quem transforma você.
E quero que saibam hoje: quando o Espírito Santo trabalha, o pecado é compreendido.
João 16:8 E, quando ele vier, convencerá o mundo do pecado, e da justiça, e do juízo.
Isso foi o que aconteceu no dia de Pentecostes. A reação das pessoas que ouviram a mensagem de Pedro é interessante.
Atos 2:37 E, ouvindo eles isto, compungiram-se em seu coração e perguntaram a Pedro e aos demais apóstolos: Que faremos, varões irmãos?
Pedro pregou a mensagem cheio do Espírito Santo. O Deus Espírito Santo trabalhou ali. Então, as pessoas foram confrontadas com seus pecados e ocorreu o arrependimento. O ponto comum do avivamento é o arrependimento — seja em grupo ou individualmente. A chave é que a pessoa entenda seu próprio pecado. Mesmo para aqueles que são cristãos, eles entendem sua própria mornidão. Percebem que não estavam vivendo no Evangelho.
O Espírito Santo nos ensina sobre o pecado não para nos condenar. É para que mudemos de direção e vivamos uma vida boa. Queremos ser pessoas que sempre se arrependem de uma forma positiva e voltada para o futuro. Queremos caminhar orando: "Por favor, permita-me ser alguém que realmente vive pela Sua Palavra".
2. Vamos Receber o Perdão
É importante saber que existe o pecado. No entanto, devemos notar que o Credo Apostólico não é uma confissão de "creio que tenho pecado", mas uma confissão da "remissão (perdão) dos pecados".
Quero que todos vocês saibam disso. Todos eventualmente estarão diante de Deus.
Hebreus 9:27 E, como ao homem está ordenado morrer uma vez, vindo, depois disso, o juízo,
Mas, ao mesmo tempo, a Bíblia diz o seguinte:
João 5:24 Na verdade, na verdade vos digo que quem ouve a minha palavra e crê naquele que me enviou tem a vida eterna e não entrará em condenação, mas passou da morte para a vida.
Os cristãos não enfrentam o juízo. Todos eventualmente estarão diante de Deus, mas você não estará lá para receber uma sentença de culpa. É para receber uma coroa. O diabo condena você. Mas você já está perdoado. Por quê? Por meio de quê? É pelo sangue de Jesus Cristo.
1 Pedro 1:18 Sabendo que não foi com coisas corruptíveis, como prata ou ouro, que fostes resgatados da vossa vã maneira de viver que por tradição recebestes dos vossos pais,
1 Pedro 1:19 Mas com o precioso sangue de Cristo, como de um cordeiro imaculado e incontaminado.
Efésios 2:8 Porque pela graça sois salvos, por meio da fé; e isso não vem de vós; é dom de Deus.
Não é pelo esforço. É pela fé. Este é o fundamento da fé cristã. Esta salvação é um presente de Deus — um dom. Nós o recebemos. Fomos perdoados pela graça. Pela graça. Você é amado hoje também.

3. O Pagamento já Está Concluído
Quero que você segure firmemente hoje e leve para casa o fato de que o pagamento está completamente concluído.
Você está marcando pontos para si mesmo? "Ah, pequei de novo. Menos um ponto. Usei uma palavra ruim. Menos um ponto." Dizendo "Deus, me perdoe, me perdoe" repetidamente.
O que a Bíblia diz?
Colossenses 2:13b-14 ...perdoando-vos todas as ofensas, havendo riscado a cédula que era contra nós nas suas ordenanças, a qual de alguma maneira nos era contrária, e a tirou do meio de nós, cravando-a na cruz.
A "cédula de dívida" é, em outras palavras, a prova de um débito. Um papel dizendo: "Você deve tanto; você tem a obrigação de pagar de volta". É uma lista de pecados. Deus a invalidou. Ela foi pregada na cruz.
Quando Jesus tomou nossos pecados sobre Si e foi para a cruz, nossos pecados também foram pregados na cruz ali. Terminou ali.
Na cruz, Jesus disse: "Está consumado" (Finished). Em grego, isso é Tetelestai. Esta é uma palavra que significa "pago integralmente". Ele pagou tudo.
Quando fui para a América recentemente, muitas pessoas foram gentis comigo. Quando saíamos para comer, todos pagavam para nós. Eu ficava sem jeito e muito agradecido. Mas e se nós — minha esposa e eu — ficássemos tão sem jeito que permanecêssemos ao redor do caixa para sempre? "Já está pago!" As pessoas da loja ficariam incomodadas também.
Os japoneses não são muito bons em "receber", não é? Por causa da nossa cultura de retribuição de favores. Recentemente, visitamos a casa dos Walker e fomos convidados para uma refeição. Mesmo quando nos disseram "Por favor, relaxe" durante a limpeza, eu não conseguia relaxar. Nós dois — minha esposa e eu — ficamos de pé o tempo todo.
Fiquei chocado com o que Maria me disse: "Ayumi-san, você nunca sentou no nosso sofá, não é?" Era verdade. Embora ela desejasse que eu relaxasse.
E pensei: talvez muitas pessoas sejam assim. Deus está nos dizendo que já nos perdoou. Está nos dizendo que o pagamento já está concluído. Ele quer que sejamos alegres. Ele está nos convidando para o descanso. No entanto, não estamos descansando. Com uma cara de culpados, dizemos: "Não, mas..." "É sério que está tudo bem?". E então, carregando nossa lista de pecados, carregando o recibo que já foi pago, ficamos vagando de um lado para o outro. Nunca sentamos no descanso que Deus preparou.
Você está descansando? Deus pagou por tudo — pecados do passado e os pecados que você cometerá no futuro. A cédula de dívida foi pregada na cruz. Eu fui perdoado. Mesmo que eu não tenha feito nada. Não existe graça maior do que esta.
A Bíblia diz que Deus se reconciliou conosco. Reconciliar significa fazer as pazes, certo? Achei isso algo maravilhoso. Embora Deus não tenha feito nada de errado, antes mesmo de dizermos "desculpa", Ele propôs: "vamos fazer as pazes".
A maior graça que recebi em minha vida — não seria o fato de meus pecados terem sido perdoados? Por causa disso, estou caminhando em paz hoje. Há esperança. Há gratidão.
Você está completamente perdoado. Creio na remissão dos pecados.
