"I Believe in the Holy Spirit"

"I believe in the Holy Spirit."

Introduction

Everyone has had the experience of wanting to change but being unable to, right? You tried to stop worrying but couldn't. You wanted to be a kinder parent but found it difficult. You wanted peace but couldn't find it.

Of course, we can change our outward appearance or the way we present ourselves. But can a person truly become new? Can we change from the very depths of our hearts? Doing so by our own strength is difficult. Today's theme is this: The power to transform you comes from God.

We are continuously studying the Apostles' Creed. This confession of faith, whose prototype was recited among Christians in Rome in the 2nd century, is a foundation that churches worldwide have cherished since ancient times. It is still confessed in worship today. Here, the things we believe are summarized. What you believe determines how you live. Furthermore, if you believe in God, "how" you believe in Him is crucial. I recommend that you listen to this series without skipping any part.

Let us confess together today. We are focusing on this one sentence: "I believe in the Holy Spirit."

What is a Christian life like when one believes in the Holy Spirit? Do you want to live a better life? Do you want to be a better father or mother? Do you want to walk a life overflowing with peace and love? Please do not forget: the power to transform you comes from God.

I will speak on the title "I Believe in the Holy Spirit" through three points.

1. I Believe in the Holy Spirit

• Who is the Holy Spirit?

  The Holy Spirit is God. God in the Bible is expressed as the "Trinity." He has three distinct persons: God the Father, God the Son (Jesus Christ), and God the Spirit (the Holy Spirit), yet they are completely one and the same God.

• The Work of the Holy Spirit

  John 14:16 "And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Helper, to be with you forever."

  John 14:17 "Even the Spirit of truth, whom the world cannot receive, because it neither sees him nor knows him. You know him, for he dwells with you and will be in you."

  The "another Helper (Counselor)" mentioned here is said to mean "someone of exactly the same nature" in the original language. Although Jesus ascended to heaven, one with the same nature as Jesus would come and "dwell with you and be in you."

  Last week, we learned that Jesus is seated at the right hand of God. Perceptive people might think, "Didn't Jesus promise to be with us?" Indeed, Jesus ascended to heaven in the flesh, but in the spirit, He is with us through the Holy Spirit. The Bible sometimes calls the Holy Spirit the "Spirit of Jesus." Through the Holy Spirit, Jesus is still with us today.

• Changed by the Holy Spirit

  Before His ascension, Jesus told the disciples to wait in Jerusalem for the Holy Spirit promised by the Father. When the Holy Spirit came, the disciples—who had been fearful, discouraged, and did not understand the meaning of the cross—were completely transformed. They became brave, filled with power, and received a mission.

  That they could change, understand the Bible, grasp the meaning of life, and be filled with power was all "by the Holy Spirit." How tragic it would be if we did not realize the power of the Holy Spirit in our faith life. All transformation originates from God's power.

2. When the Holy Spirit Works in My Life

When the Holy Spirit works, several things happen:

• Understanding the Gospel

  1 Corinthians 12:3b "And no one can say 'Jesus is Lord' except in the Holy Spirit."

  Believing in Jesus is itself the work of the Holy Spirit.

• Gaining Conviction

  Ephesians 1:14 "Who is the guarantee of our inheritance until we acquire possession of it, to the praise of his glory."

  Faith is like being in the rain. When you are in the rain, even if someone on the phone says it’s not raining, you won't be shaken because you are personally feeling the rain. Similarly, when the Holy Spirit works, you feel beyond reason that God truly exists and know that you are saved.

• Becoming Like Jesus

  2 Corinthians 3:18 "And we all, with unveiled face, beholding the glory of the Lord, are being transformed into the same image from one degree of glory to another. For this comes from the Lord who is the Spirit."

  It is the work of the Holy Spirit that we become like Jesus.

• Bearing Fruit

  Galatians 5:22 "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness,"

  Galatians 5:23 "gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law."

  If you long for love, peace, or self-control, seek the Holy Spirit, for He will transform you.

• Receiving Power

  Acts 1:8 "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth."

  When the Holy Spirit works, we are transformed.

3. A Life Filled with the Holy Spirit

• The Testimony of Kanzo Uchimura

  The thinker Kanzo Uchimura, in his writing titled "The Sensation of Receiving the Holy Spirit," described the feeling of experiencing the Holy Spirit as follows:

  "The feeling of experiencing the Holy Spirit is exactly this: 'There is nothing else like this, no matter where you look in this world.'

  Needless to say, I don't need money, nor high status, nor honor. I don't want worldly success at all. Truly, I need nothing else. I just want to keep holding onto this treasure called the 'Holy Spirit' forever, for eternity... This is it. Yes, this is everything. This is the greatest and highest gift that Christianity is trying to deliver to humanity."

  My wish today is that, at the very least, you will from today become Christians who are conscious of the Holy Spirit and seek to live by the Holy Spirit. Because your transformation begins there.

• Be Filled with the Spirit

  Ephesians 5:18c "But be filled with the Spirit."

  I want you to notice that these words are spoken not to unbelievers, but to Christians. If you are a Christian, the Holy Spirit is within you. But there is a difference between Him being there and you being filled. Therefore, the Bible tells Christians to "be filled with the Spirit."

  Also, the tense of these words is interesting. They are written in a tense that signifies "continuation and repetition." It means "keep on being filled." Keep placing yourself in that kind of situation.

  Furthermore, this word is in the passive voice. You do not fill yourself; you "are filled (by God)." It means to continue placing yourself in an environment where you can be filled.

• I will end by recommending three things: To be filled with the Holy Spirit

  1. Prepare and Arrange

     If you were to invite someone to your home, you would first clean up, wouldn't you? Similarly, let us arrange our lives and hearts. Throw away sin, and discard things and habits that do not please God.

  2. Welcome Him

     The Holy Spirit is God with personality. It is difficult for Him to work where He is not welcomed. If you went to someone's house and the host sat on the best sofa and told you, "You stand there," wouldn't you want to go home immediately?

     We yield the throne of our hearts to Him. It is to welcome Him, saying, "Please rule over me. Please transform me. Please work in my life." Also, "Holy Spirit, we welcome You. We are open to You." I want this to be the declaration of our church.

  3. Keep Seeking

     It’s not over because you were filled once, nor should you quit because you felt nothing after seeking. Keeping on seeking is important.

     "How much more will the heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!" (Luke 11:13), says the Bible.

     What specifically does "seeking" point to?

     One is prayer. I think it is good to make praying for the Holy Spirit a habit.

     Another is valuing worship. It is to keep placing yourself in an environment where the Holy Spirit can easily work. Worship is such a place. Is not worship the time during your week when the Holy Spirit can work most easily? In that presence, in that filling, we are being transformed today.

I believe in the Holy Spirit. I believe that He is working even now. And I believe that He is the one who transforms me.

當然，我們可以改變外表或表現出來的樣子。但人真的能煥然一新嗎？人能從內心深處徹底改變嗎？靠著自己的力量是很困難的。今天的題旨就是：使你生命翻轉的力量，是來自於上帝。

我們正連續學習《使徒信經》。這份信仰告白起源於 2 世紀羅馬基督徒之間，是世界各地教會自古以來極其重視的根基，至今仍常在崇拜中宣讀。這裡總結了我們所相信的事項。你相信什麼將決定你的生活方式；如果你相信上帝，那麼「如何相信祂」就變得至關重要。我建議大家不要跳過這系列，完整地聽下去。

今天讓我們一起告白。我們關注的是這句話：「我信聖靈」。 相信聖靈的基督徒生活是怎樣的呢？你想過更好的生活嗎？想成為更好的父親或母親嗎？想過一個充滿平安與愛的人生嗎？請不要忘記：使你生命翻轉的力量，是來自於上帝。

1. 我信聖靈

• 聖靈是誰？ 聖靈就是上帝。聖經中的上帝用「三位一體」來表達。祂有三種不同的位格：父神、子耶穌基督，以及靈神（聖靈），但祂們完全是同一位上帝。

• 聖靈的工作 約翰福音 14:16 我要求父，父就另外賜給你們一位保惠師，叫他永遠與你們同在。 約翰福音 14:17 就是真理的聖靈，乃世人不能接受的；因為不見他，也不認識他。你們卻認識他，因他常與你們同在，也要在你們裡面。

  這裡提到的「另一位保惠師（助助主）」，在原文中含有「性質完全相同」的意思。雖然耶穌升了天，但具有與耶穌相同性質的一位會來到，並且「常與你們同在，也要在你們裡面」。

  上週我們學到耶穌坐在上帝的右邊。敏銳的人可能會想：「耶穌不是答應過會與我們同在嗎？」的確，耶穌在肉身上升了天，但在靈裡，祂正透過聖靈與我們同在。聖經有時也稱聖靈為「耶穌的靈」。透過聖靈，耶穌今天仍與我們同在。

2. 當聖靈在我生命中工作時

當聖靈動工時，會發生以下幾件事：

• 明白福音 哥林多前書 12:3b 若不是被聖靈感動的，也沒有能說「耶穌是主」的。 相信耶穌這件事本身就是聖靈的工作。

• 得著確信 以弗所書 1:14 這聖靈是我們得基業的憑據，直等到神之民被贖，使他的榮耀得著稱讚。 信仰就像在雨中。當你在雨中，即使別人在電話裡說沒下雨，你也不會動搖，因為你正親身感受著雨水。同樣地，當聖靈動工時，你會超越理智地感受到上帝確實存在，並知道自己得救了。

• 變得像耶穌 哥林多後書 3:18 我們眾人既然敞著臉得以看見主的榮耀，好像從鏡子裡返照，就變成主的形狀，榮耀加榮耀，如同從主的靈變成的。 我們變得像耶穌，是聖靈的工作。

3. 被聖靈充滿的生活

• 內村鑑三的見證 思想家內村鑑三在《領受聖靈時的感覺》一文中曾描述體驗到聖靈的感覺： 「聖靈體驗時的感覺正是如此：『如此美好的東西，在這世上無論哪裡都找不到第二個』。 金錢自不必說，就連高位、名譽，我全都不要。世俗的成功，我一點也不想要。真的，我別無所求。只想永遠、直到永恆地擁有這份名為『聖靈』的寶藏……。就是這個。沒錯，這就是一切。這正是基督教要帶給人類的最大、最美好的禮物。」

  我今天的願望是，希望大家從今天起，至少能成為一個意識到聖靈、尋求聖靈而活的基督徒。因為你的改變正是從那裡開始。

• 要被聖靈充滿 以弗所書 5:18c 乃要被聖靈充滿。 我想請大家注意，這句話不是對非信徒說的，而是對基督徒說的。如果你是基督徒，聖靈已經住在你裡面。但「住在裡面」與「被充滿」是不同的。因此，聖經要求基督徒「要被聖靈充滿」。

  此外，這句話的時態非常有趣。它是以表示「持續、反覆」的時態寫成的。意思是「要持續被充滿」，要讓自己一直處於那樣的狀態。 而且，這句話是受動態（被動語態）。不是由你自己去充滿，而是「被充滿」。這意味著要讓自己持續置身於那樣（能被充滿）的環境中。

• 最後，我以三個建議來結束：為了被聖靈充滿

  2. 歡迎祂 聖靈是有位格的上帝。在不被歡迎的地方，祂很難工作。如果你去別人家，主人自己坐在最好的沙發上，卻叫你「站在那裡」，你也會想馬上回家吧？ 我們要將心中的王座讓給祂。歡迎祂說：「請來治理我、請來翻轉我、請在我的人生中工作」。同時，「聖靈，我們歡迎您。我們對您保持開放」，這也應該是我們教會的宣言。

  3. 持續尋求 不是被充滿一次就結束了，也不是因為求了卻沒感覺就放棄。持續尋求是很重要的。 聖經說：「天父豈不更將聖靈給求祂的人嗎？」（路加福音 11:13）。 具體來說，「尋求」是指什麼呢？ 其一是禱告。建議大家養成尋求聖靈的禱告習慣。 其二是重視崇拜。要讓自己持續置身於聖靈容易工作的環境中。崇拜就是那樣的地方。在你的一週之中，聖靈最容易工作的時刻，不就是崇拜嗎？在那份臨在與充滿之中，我們今天也持續被翻轉。

我信聖靈。相信這位現今仍在工作的主，也相信翻轉我的正是這位主。

Intro

Lahat tayo ay nakaranas na ng gustong magbago pero hindi natin magawa, 'di ba? Gusto mong itigil ang pag-aalala pero hindi mo mahinto. Gusto mong maging mas mabait na magulang pero nahihirapan ka. Gusto mong magkaroon ng kapayapaan pero hindi mo mahanap.

Siyempre, pwede nating baguhin ang panlabas na anyo o ang paraan ng pagpapakita natin sa iba. Pero ang tao ba ay tunay na pwedeng maging bago? 3. Isang Buhay na Puspos ng Espiritu Santo

• Ang Testimonya ni Kanzo Uchimura

     Ang Espiritu Santo ay Diyos na may personalidad. Mahirap para sa Kanya na gumawa kung saan hindi Siya welcome. Kung nagpunta ka sa bahay ng isang tao at ang host ay umupo sa pinakamagandang sofa at sinabi sa iyo, "Diyan ka lang tumayo," hindi mo ba gugustuhing umuwi agad?

     Ibinibigay natin ang trono ng ating puso sa Kanya. Ito ay ang pag-welcome sa Kanya, na sinasabi, "Pakiusap, pamunuan Niyo ako. Pakiusap, baguhin Niyo ako. Pakiusap, gumawa Kayo sa buhay ko." Gayundin, "Espiritu Santo, welcome Kayo sa amin. Bukas kami sa Inyo." Gusto ko itong maging deklarasyon ng ating simbahan.

  3. Patuloy na Humiling at Maghanap

     Hindi ito natatapos dahil napuspos ka na nang minsan, at hindi rin dapat huminto dahil wala kang naramdaman pagkatapos humiling. Ang patuloy na paghahanap ay mahalaga.

     "Gaano pa kaya ang inyong Ama sa kalangitan na magbibigay ng Espiritu Santo sa mga humihingi sa kanya!" (Lucas 11:13), sabi ng Bible.

     Ano ba ang tinutukoy ng "paghahanap"?

     Isa ay ang panalangin. Tingin ko mabuting gawing habit ang pagdarasal para sa Espiritu Santo.

     Ang isa pa ay ang pagpapahalaga sa pagsamba (worship). Ito ay ang patuloy na paglalagay sa sarili sa environment kung saan ang Espiritu Santo ay madaling makakagawa. Ang pagsamba ay ganoong lugar. Hindi ba ang pagsamba ang oras sa loob ng isang linggo kung saan ang Espiritu Santo ay pinakamadaling makakagawa? Sa presensyang iyon, sa pagkapuspos na iyon, tayo ay binabago ngayon.

Naniniwala ako sa Espiritu Santo. Naniniwala ako na Siya ay gumagawa kahit ngayon. At naniniwala ako na Siya ang nagpapabago sa akin.

"Creio no Espírito Santo."

Introdução

Todos já tiveram a experiência de querer mudar, mas não conseguir, não é? Você tentou parar de se preocupar, mas não conseguiu. Quis ser um pai ou uma mãe mais gentil, mas foi difícil. Quis ter paz, mas não conseguiu.

Claro que podemos mudar a aparência exterior ou a forma como nos mostramos. Mas será que uma pessoa pode realmente se tornar nova? Podemos mudar a partir do âmago de nossos corações? Fazer isso por nossas próprias forças é difícil. O tema de hoje é este: O poder para transformar você vem de Deus.

Estamos estudando continuamente o Credo Apostólico. Esta confissão de fé, cujo protótipo já era recitado entre os cristãos em Roma no século II, é um alicerce que as igrejas em todo o mundo têm valorizado desde os tempos antigos. Ainda hoje é confessado no culto. Aqui, as coisas em que acreditamos estão resumidas. O que você acredita determina como você vive. Além disso, se você acredita em Deus, o "como" você acredita nEle é crucial. Recomendo que você ouça esta série sem pular nenhuma parte.

Vamos confessar juntos hoje. Estamos nos concentrando nesta frase: "Creio no Espírito Santo".

Como é a vida cristã quando se acredita no Espírito Santo? Você quer viver uma vida melhor? Quer ser um pai ou uma mãe melhor? Quer trilhar uma vida transbordando de paz e amor? Por favor, não se esqueça: o poder para transformar você vem de Deus.

Falarei sobre o título "Creio no Espírito Santo" através de três pontos.

1. Creio no Espírito Santo

• Quem é o Espírito Santo?

  O Espírito Santo é Deus. O Deus na Bíblia é expresso como a "Trindade". Ele tem três pessoas distintas: Deus Pai, Deus Filho (Jesus Cristo) e Deus Espírito (o Espírito Santo), mas eles são completamente um e o mesmo Deus.

• A Obra do Espírito Santo

  João 14:16 "E eu rogarei ao Pai, e ele vos dará outro Consolador, para que fique convosco para sempre."

  João 14:17 "O Espírito da verdade, que o mundo não pode receber, porque não o vê, nem o conhece; mas vós o conheceis, porque habita convosco e estará em vós."

  
  

  O "outro Consolador (Ajudador)" mencionado aqui significa "alguém exatamente da mesma natureza" na língua original. Embora Jesus tenha subido ao céu, um com a mesma natureza de Jesus viria e "habitaria convosco e estaria em vós".

  Na semana passada, aprendemos que Jesus está sentado à direita de Deus. Pessoas perceptivas podem pensar: "Jesus não prometeu estar conosco?". De fato, Jesus subiu ao céu na carne, mas no espírito, Ele está conosco através do Espírito Santo. A Bíblia às vezes chama o Espírito Santo de "Espírito de Jesus". Através do Espírito Santo, Jesus ainda está conosco hoje.

• Mudados pelo Espírito Santo

  Antes de Sua ascensão, Jesus disse aos discípulos para esperarem em Jerusalém pelo Espírito Santo prometido pelo Pai. Quando o Espírito Santo veio, os discípulos — que estavam temerosos, desanimados e não entendiam o significado da cruz — foram completamente transformados. Eles se tornaram corajosos, cheios de poder e receberam uma missão.

  O fato de poderem mudar, entender a Bíblia, compreender o sentido da vida e serem cheios de poder foi tudo "pelo Espírito Santo". Como seria trágico se não percebêssemos o poder do Espírito Santo em nossa vida de fé. Toda transformação se origina do poder de Deus.

2. Quando o Espírito Santo Atua em Minha Vida

Quando o Espírito Santo trabalha, várias coisas acontecem:

• Compreender o Evangelho

  1 Coríntios 12:3b "Ninguém pode dizer: Jesus é o Senhor, senão pelo Espírito Santo."

  Acreditar em Jesus é, por si só, obra do Espírito Santo.

• Ganhar Convicção

  Efésios 1:14 "O qual é o penhor da nossa herança, para redenção da possessão adquirida, para louvor da sua glória."

  A fé é como estar na chuva. Quando você está na chuva, mesmo que alguém ao telefone diga que não está chovendo, você não será abalado porque está sentindo pessoalmente a chuva. Da mesma forma, quando o Espírito Santo atua, você sente além da razão que Deus realmente existe e sabe que está salvo.

• Tornar-se Semelhante a Jesus

  2 Coríntios 3:18 "Mas todos nós, com rosto descoberto, refletindo como um espelho a glória do Senhor, somos transformados de glória em glória na mesma imagem, como pelo Espírito do Senhor."

  É obra do Espírito Santo que nos tornemos semelhantes a Jesus.

• Dar Frutos

  Gálatas 5:22 "Mas o fruto do Espírito é: amor, gozo, paz, longanimidade, benignidade, bondade, fé,"

  Gálatas 5:23 "Mansidão, temperança. Contra estas coisas não há lei."

  Se você anseia por amor, paz ou autocontrole, busque o Espírito Santo, pois Ele o transformará.

• Receber Poder

  Atos 1:8 "Mas recebereis a virtude do Espírito Santo, que há de vir sobre vós; e ser-me-eis testemunhas, tanto em Jerusalém como em toda a Judeia e Samaria, e até aos confins da terra."

  Quando o Espírito Santo atua, somos transformados.

3. Uma Vida Cheia do Espírito Santo

• O Testemunho de Kanzo Uchimura

  O pensador Kanzo Uchimura, em seu escrito intitulado "A Sensação de Receber o Espírito Santo", descreveu o sentimento de experimentar o Espírito Santo da seguinte forma:

  "A sensação de experimentar o Espírito Santo é exatamente esta: 'Não há nada igual a isto, não importa onde você procure neste mundo'.

  Inútil dizer que não preciso de dinheiro, nem de posição elevada, nem de honra. Não quero o sucesso mundano de forma alguma. Verdadeiramente, não preciso de mais nada. Eu apenas quero continuar segurando este tesouro chamado 'Espírito Santo' para sempre, pela eternidade... É isso. Sim, isto é tudo. Este é o maior e mais alto presente que o cristianismo está tentando entregar à humanidade."

  Meu desejo hoje é que, ao menos, vocês se tornem a partir de hoje cristãos que estejam conscientes do Espírito Santo e busquem viver pelo Espírito Santo. Porque a sua transformação começa aí.

• Enchei-vos do Espírito

  Efésios 5:18c "Mas enchei-vos do Espírito."

  Quero que notem que estas palavras são ditas não aos incrédulos, mas aos cristãos. Se você é um cristão, o Espírito Santo está dentro de você. Mas há uma diferença entre Ele estar lá e você estar cheio. Portanto, a Bíblia diz aos cristãos para "encherem-se do Espírito".

  Além disso, o tempo verbal destas palavras é interessante. Elas estão escritas em um tempo que significa "continuação e repetição". Significa "continuar sendo cheio". Continue colocando-se nesse tipo de situação.

  Além disso, esta palavra está na voz passiva. Você não se enche a si mesmo; você "é cheio (por Deus)". Significa continuar se colocando em um ambiente onde você possa ser preenchido.

• Terminarei recomendando três coisas: Para ser cheio do Espírito Santo

  1. Preparar e Organizar

     Se você fosse convidar alguém para sua casa, primeiro faria uma limpeza, não faria? Da mesma forma, vamos organizar nossas vidas e corações. Jogue fora o pecado e descarte coisas e hábitos que não agradam a Deus.

  2. Desejar as Boas-Vindas a Ele

     O Espírito Santo é Deus com personalidade. É difícil para Ele trabalhar onde não é bem-vindo. Se você fosse à casa de alguém e o anfitrião sentasse no melhor sofá e lhe dissesse: "Você fica de pé aí", você não teria vontade de ir embora imediatamente?

     Nós cedemos o trono de nossos corações a Ele. É dar as boas-vindas a Ele, dizendo: "Por favor, governe sobre mim. Por favor, transforme-me. Por favor, trabalhe em minha vida". Além disso, "Espírito Santo, nós Te damos as boas-vindas. Estamos abertos a Ti". Quero que esta seja a declaração de nossa igreja.

  3. Continuar Buscando

     Não acaba porque você foi preenchido uma vez, nem você deve desistir porque não sentiu nada após buscar. Continuar buscando é importante.

     "Quanto mais o Pai celestial dará o Espírito Santo àqueles que lho pedirem!" (Lucas 11:13), diz a Bíblia.

     A que especificamente se refere o "buscar"?

     Um é a oração. Acho bom tornar o hábito de orar pelo Espírito Santo algo constante.

     Outro é valorizar o culto (adoração). É continuar se colocando em um ambiente onde o Espírito Santo possa trabalhar facilmente. O culto é um lugar assim. Não é o culto o momento durante a sua semana em que o Espírito Santo pode trabalhar mais facilmente? Nessa presença, nesse enchimento, estamos sendo transformados hoje.

Eu creio no Espírito Santo. Creio que Ele está trabalhando mesmo agora. E creio que Ele é aquele que me transforma.
