God’s Miracles Begin Small (Acts 16:11-15)

Introduction When you think of a church in Europe, you probably imagine a large, magnificent building. Today, I want to talk about the very first church in Europe. That would be in what is now Greece, but can you imagine what it was like? It was a house.

It has been one year since Tsukuba Life Church began. We also started without a building, in the common space of an apartment and in a home. God's great miracles often begin small. They might start with a small act of kindness or from an ordinary, everyday moment.

Scripture Reading I will speak on two main points today.

1. The First Church in Europe

• The Good News that Changes the World In verse 12, we see Paul and his companions traveling at the risk of their lives. They believed that the church would change the world. In fact, that is exactly what happened. The Gospel changed Europe, and eventually, the world. There is a story I like from Fiji. A man who hated Christianity visited the South Pacific island of Fiji. Many of the people there were Christians because missionaries had come years before and built a church. When he was invited to the home of an island elder, this man said, "The Bible doesn't change people. This is just an old teaching." The elder replied, "I see. But if what you say were true, and this old teaching hadn't changed us, you would currently be simmering in that large pot over there and be inside my stomach by now. We were originally cannibals." I believe the church changes the world. It changes families. It changes children. It changes marital relationships. It changes the way each individual lives. Just as Paul believed, we believed and started a church here.
  

• Lydia’s Kindness Verse 14 says she was "a worshiper of God." Even though she was a Gentile living in a world full of Greek gods, she seemed to be someone searching, thinking, "Something isn't right," and "There must be a true God." Is there a God? If so, who is He? I believe this is the most important question for a human being. She was seeking that. Then, she heard Paul’s message and believed, thinking, "Oh, I see! Jesus is the Savior!" Thus, she and her household were saved. But the story doesn't end there. It says she urged them, saying, "If you have judged me to be faithful to the Lord, come to my house and stay," and she prevailed upon them. It’s interesting that it says she "prevailed upon" or forced them. Perhaps she was very persistent. "Please come to my house. Please use my home." Paul and the others likely hesitated. "No, we already have a place to stay." "Don't say that! Please come to my house. Use it. There’s plenty of room." "No, but we only just met..." "What is it, do you not trust me? If you consider me a believer in the Lord..." This reminds me of a time I was given bread by an elderly woman I didn't know on a train. And so, Lydia’s house became a base for the Gospel.
  

• The First European Church was a House After this, many things happened. Paul and his companions were persecuted for preaching the Gospel and thrown into prison. Yet, it is amazing how God turns a negative into a positive. He is a God who turns the worst into the best. The jailer guarding that prison and his family were saved. God works all things together for the good of those who believe in Him—that is, for you. Eventually, Paul and the others were released, but the magistrates of the city told them not to cause any more trouble and asked them to leave. However, verse 40 says something very interesting. Acts 16:40: "So they went out of the prison and visited Lydia. And when they had seen the brothers, they encouraged them and departed." The "brothers" refers to the Christians. There were people saved besides Lydia and her family. The people who became Christians were gathering at Lydia's house. It says Paul "encouraged them." He surely preached to them. The scene we see there is exactly what we are doing now. It was a very small flock, not a church building. It was a house. But a church was born there. This was the first church in Europe. The church that would move history was born this way. It began small. And we must not forget that it started from one woman’s small offer.
  

2. The God Who Uses Small Kindness

• Without Meaning To Lydia probably didn't intend to build the first church in Europe, nor did she intend to change history. She simply did what she could. God used that small kindness. It is common for a small act of kindness to be hidden behind a great event. In the 1940s, Professor Chandrasekhar of the University of Chicago drove about 300 kilometers round-trip twice a week to give lectures, even in the deep snow of winter and on stormy days. At the time, his physics lectures were so difficult that only two international students enrolled. The university suggested canceling the class due to inefficiency, but he firmly refused, saying, "As long as they say they want to learn, I will go." Those "only two" students, Yang Chen-Ning and Tsung-Dao Lee, went on to jointly win the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1957. Professor Chandrasekhar reportedly said, "That drive through the snow was worth it."
  

• Kindness Received in America Don't you all have experiences of being supported by such kindness? When I was studying in America, I reached a point where I had no money and had to return home. However, an elderly couple at a church said, "You can live with us. No rent needed. No food costs needed. Helping you means helping the church in Japan," and they let me stay. Because of that, I was able to do an internship at the church and was later appointed to Saiwaicho Christ Church. And from there, Tsukuba Life Church was born. When I think about it, if it weren't for that kindness, this church would not exist.
  

• Our Church as Well I think the same is true for this church. The person who opened their home. The person who brought their children to a small group every week. The person who invited a friend. The person who renovated this place at a low price. The people who helped with that. The person who cleaned. The person who serves using a computer. The people who help with the kids' service. Everyone contributes small acts of kindness, and that is why we are here today. It was the same when we were worshiping at the photo studio. The owner of the studio closest to my house happened to be a Christian and said, "Please use it every week." Not only that, they had prepared everything necessary for a service, thinking, "I would be happy if this studio could be used for church worship someday." I thought God's ways are mysterious. Through that person's kindness, we are here now. I believe God is the one who uses our small acts of kindness. In the Gospels, there is a story of a boy who offered his lunch—five loaves and two fish. God used that to perform a great work. He is a God who uses the small kindness of ordinary people. God used Lydia's small suggestion. Lydia only did what she could do. But God knew everything. He knew this would become a base for the Gospel to spread. Of course, Paul left with tears, but the church in Philippi grew. Paul later wrote a letter to them, which remains in the Bible. It begins like this: Philippians 1:1: "Paul and Timothy, servants of Christ Jesus, To all the saints in Christ Jesus who are at Philippi, with the overseers and deacons." The church was growing. Overseers and deacons are like pastors. The Christians matured, leaders were appointed, and it seems there were gatherings in several houses. People's lives were being transformed, and those who saw it gathered at the church as well. Philippians 1:6: "And I am sure of this, that he who began a good work in you will bring it to completion at the day of Jesus Christ." God began it. God will bring it to completion. Today, I believe the same thing. God began it. God will accomplish it. There are problems to be solved. What will we do about a building after this? But God began it. God will accomplish it. Of course, I have big dreams. I want Tsukuba to be a city with an unusually high number of Christians. I want this to be a church where your families are saved. Also, I want it to be a church that supports global missions. Because of this city and because it is us, I believe there are things only we can do. But perhaps we don't need to try to "do great things." Let us do small things faithfully. Let us cherish each and every worship service. Because God will greatly use our small kindness and our small service. Mother Teresa said something wonderful:
  

"We can do no great things, only small things with great love."

  And that is exactly what Jesus did for us. Jesus, who did the greatest thing in history, faced each individual. In a corner of the world, He did small things that no one was watching, with great love. I want us to be people who follow that example. In our homes, in our workplaces, and in our lives, doing small things with great love. I believe that God will use those small things in a big way. If you believe, let’s say "Amen" with a loud voice.

Tsukuba Life Church 成立已經一年了。我們最初也沒有建築物，是在公寓的公共空間，或者在家裡開始的。 上帝偉大的神蹟，往往是從「微小」開始。它可能是一份小小的善意，或是從日常中不經意的瞬間開始的。

1. 歐洲第一間教會

■ 改變世界的好消息 12節中，保羅一行人正冒著生命危險旅行。他們相信教會將改變世界，而事實也的確如此。福音改變了歐洲，最終改變了整個世界。

這讓我想起一個我非常喜歡的故事，是關於斐濟的。 曾經有一位討厭基督教的人來到南太平洋的斐濟群島，發現島上的人大多是基督徒。因為以前有宣教士來到這裡建立了教會。當他受邀去島上長老家時，這位討厭基督教的人說：「聖經這種過時的教導是無法改變人的。」 長老回答：「原來如此。但如果你的話是真的，這份古老的教導沒有改變我們，你現在應該已經在那口大鍋裡被煮熟，進到我的肚子裡了。因為我們以前是食人族。」

我深信教會能改變世界。改變家庭、改變孩子、改變夫妻關係、改變每個人的生活方式。正因保羅如此相信，我們也如此相信，並在這裡開始了教會。

■ 呂底亞的親切 14節提到呂底亞是「敬拜上帝的人」。她雖然住在滿是希臘神話的外邦世界，卻一直在尋找真神，心裡想著「總覺得哪裡不對勁」、「應該有位真神存在」。 「上帝存在嗎？如果存在，祂是誰？」這或許是人生最重要的提問，而她一直在追尋。

隨後她聽了保羅的話，相信了：「啊，原來如此！耶穌就是救主！」於是她和她的全家都得救了。但故事並未就此結束。 經上記著，她懇求說：「你們若以為我是真信主的，請到我家裡來住」，並強留保羅一行人。 「強留」這段很有趣，呂底亞大概非常熱情且堅持吧。 「請務必來我家，請使用我的家。」保羅一行人起初可能有些客氣：「不，我們已經有住處了。」「別這麼說！請務必來我家。請使用它，家裡空間很足夠。」「不，可是我們才剛認識...」「怎麼，您不信任我嗎？如果你們以為我是真信主的。」這讓我想到以前在電車上，曾被不認識的大嬸送過麵包的往事。 就這樣，呂底亞的家成了福音的據點。

■ 歐洲最初的教會是「家」 這之後發生了許多事。保羅因為傳福音受到迫害被關進監獄。但上帝是奇妙的，祂能將負面轉為正面，將最壞的情況轉變為最好的結果。看守監獄的禁卒和他的全家也因此得救了。 當保羅被釋放後，雖然當地的長官要求他們離開城市，但40節寫到一件很有意思的事：

使徒行傳 16:40 二人出監，往呂底亞家裡去，見了弟兄們，勸慰他們一番，就走了。

這裡提到的「弟兄們」就是基督徒。不只是呂底亞和她的全家，還有其他得救的人。成為基督徒的人們都聚集在呂底亞的家裡。保羅「勸慰他們」，想必是做了講道。現在我們聚會的場景，當時就在那裡發生。那真的是一個小小的群體，不是什麼教堂，而是一個「家」。但教會就在那裡誕生了。這就是歐洲第一間教會。推動歷史的教會就這樣誕生了。它是從微小開始的，而且我們不要忘記，它是從一位婦人微小的提議開始的。

2. 使用微小善意的上帝

■ 雖非刻意，卻被主用 呂底亞當時並非打算建立「歐洲第一間教會」，也沒想過要改變歷史。她只是做了自己能做的事。上帝卻使用了這份小小的善意。在偉大事件的背後，往往隱藏著微小的善行。

1940年代，芝加哥大學的錢德拉塞卡教授，每週兩次，不論嚴冬風雪都要開車往返300公里去授課。當時他的物理課太難，只有兩位留學生選修。大學建議停課以節省效率，但他堅持：「只要他們想學，我就去。」那兩位學生就是楊振寧與李政道，他們後來共同獲得了1957年的諾貝爾物理學獎。教授後來說：「那些雪地的駕駛路程，是值得的。」

■ 在美國受到的恩惠 大家或許都有過被他人善意支撐的經驗。當我在美國留學因經濟困窘而打算回國時，教會的一對老夫婦對我說：「住我們家吧，免房租、免餐費。幫助你就是幫助日本的教會。」 正因那份善意，我完成了實習，後來才有了幸町基督教會的服事，進而誕生了現在的 Tsukuba Life Church。 回首過去，若沒有當初那份親切，這間教會就不會誕生。

■ 我們的教會亦是如此 這間教會也是如此。開放家庭的人、每週帶孩子參加小組的人、邀請朋友的人、協助低價裝修的人、幫忙清潔的人、在電腦設備上奉獻的人、協助兒童主日學的人。每個人都獻出微小的善意，才有了今天。

在攝影棚禮拜的時期也是如此。離家最近的攝影棚主人剛好是基督徒，他不吝分享場地，甚至心裡想著「希望有一天這裡能被教會用來禮拜」，因而預備好了一切禮拜所需的設備。 上帝的事工是奇妙的。祂正是使用平凡人的微小善意。就像在福音書中，獻出五餅二魚的小男孩一樣，上帝使用那份奉獻成就了大事。

上帝使用了呂底亞微小的提議。呂底亞只是做了自己能做的事。但上帝都知道。祂知道這裡將成為福音傳播的據點。

結語

雖然保羅後來不得不離開，但腓立比的教會持續成長。保羅後來寫信給他們，這封信就留在聖經裡，開頭是這樣寫的：

腓立比書 1:1 基督耶穌的僕人保羅和提摩太，寫信給凡在腓立比、在基督耶穌裡的眾聖徒，和諸位監督、諸位執事。

教會成長了。有了監督和執事，就像現在的牧師一樣。基督徒成熟了，領袖被建立，許多家裡都有了聚會。

腓立比書 1:6 我深信那在你們心裡動了善工的，必成全這工，直到耶穌基督的日子。

上帝開始的工作，上帝必會完成。今天我依然如此堅信。上帝開始了，上帝必會成就。雖然還有建築物等問題需要解決，但上帝開始了，上帝必會成就。

當然，我有很大的夢想。希望筑波成為一個基督徒特別多的城市，希望這裡是一個能讓你的家人得救的教會。 也希望成為一個能支持世界宣教的教會。正因為是在這個城市，正因為是我們，我相信有只有我們能做到的事。

但不一定要想著「做大事」。 只要誠實地做每一件小事，珍惜每一次的禮拜。 因為上帝會大大地使用我們微小的善意與奉獻。

德蕾莎修女說得很好： 「我們在世上做不了什麼偉大的事情，我們只能帶著偉大的愛去做微小的事。」 (We can do no great things, only small things with great love.)

這正是耶穌為我們所做的。 成就了歷史上最偉大之事的耶穌，親自面對每一個人。在世界的角落，帶著大愛做了那些不被看見的小事。 讓我們也效法祂的榜樣。在家庭、職場、生活中，帶著大愛去做每一件小事，並相信上帝會大大使用這些微小的奉獻。

相信的人，請大聲說「阿們」。

Konklusyon

Bagaman napilitang umalis si Pablo, ang simbahan sa Filipos ay patuloy na lumago. Sumulat si Pablo ng sulat sa kanila na nasa Bibliya ngayon, at ganito ang simula:

Filipos 1:1 Si Pablo at si Timoteo, na mga alipin ni Cristo Jesus, sa lahat ng mga banal kay Cristo Jesus na nangasa Filipos, pati ng mga obispo at ng mga diacono.

Lumago ang simbahan. Nagkaroon ng mga obispo at diacono, na parang mga pastor ngayon. Naging mature ang mga Kristiyano, nagkaroon ng mga lider, at tila marami ring mga pagtitipon sa iba't ibang bahay.

Ang gawaing sinimulan ng Diyos, ang Diyos din ang tatapos. Ngayon, ganoon din ang pinaniniwalaan ko. Ang Diyos ang nagsimula, ang Diyos ang magsasakatuparan nito. May mga problema mang kailangang lutasin, gaya ng tungkol sa gusali, pero ang Diyos ang nagsimula, at ang Diyos ang tatapos.

Siyempre, may malaki akong pangarap. Sana ang Tsukuba ay maging isang lungsod na maraming Kristiyano. Sana ito ay maging simbahan kung saan maliligtas ang inyong pamilya. At sana ay maging simbahan tayo na sumusuporta sa misyon sa buong mundo. Dahil sa lungsod na ito, at dahil tayo ito, naniniwala ako na may mga bagay na tayo lang ang makakagawa.

Pero hindi kailangang mag-isip na "gumawa ng malalaking bagay." Maging tapat lang tayo sa paggawa ng maliliit na bagay, pahalagahan ang bawat pagsamba natin. Dahil gagamitin ng Diyos ang ating maliliit na kabutihan at paglilingkod sa malaking paraan.

Maganda ang sinabi ni Mother Teresa:" Hindi tayo makakagawa ng malalaking bagay dito sa mundo. Makakagawa lang tayo ng maliliit na bagay na may malaking pag-ibig." (We can do no great things, only small things with great love.)

At iyon mismo ang ginawa ni Jesus para sa atin. Si Jesus, na gumawa ng pinakamalaking bagay sa kasaysayan, ay humarap sa bawat isa sa atin. Sa isang sulok ng mundo, ginawa Niya ang maliliit na bagay na hindi nakikita ng iba nang may malaking pag-ibig. Nawa'y maging gaya tayo ng Kanyang halimbawa. Sa pamilya, sa trabaho, sa buhay, gawin ang maliliit na bagay nang may malaking pag-ibig, at maniwala na gagamitin iyon ng Diyos sa malaking paraan.

Ang naniniwala, sabihin natin ang isang malakas na "Amen."

O Pequeno Começo dos Milagres de Deus (Atos 16:11-15)

Introdução

Quando pensamos em igrejas na Europa, provavelmente imaginamos prédios grandes e magníficos. Hoje, quero falar sobre a história da primeira igreja na Europa. Ela ficava onde hoje é a Grécia, mas vocês conseguem imaginar como ela era? Era uma "casa".

Faz um ano que a Tsukuba Life Church começou. Nós também começamos sem um prédio, no espaço comum de um prédio de apartamentos e em uma casa. Os grandes milagres de Deus geralmente começam "pequenos". Pode ser uma pequena gentileza ou começar em um momento comum do dia a dia.

1. A Primeira Igreja na Europa

■ As Boas Novas que Mudam o Mundo No versículo 12, vemos Paulo e seus companheiros viajando com risco de vida. Eles acreditavam que a igreja mudaria o mundo e, de fato, foi o que aconteceu. O Evangelho mudou a Europa e, eventualmente, o mundo inteiro.

Há uma história que eu gosto muito sobre Fiji. Um homem que odiava o cristianismo foi para as ilhas Fiji, no Pacífico Sul, e descobriu que a maioria das pessoas ali era cristã. Porque, no passado, missionários haviam chegado e construído uma igreja. Quando foi convidado para a casa de um ancião da ilha, esse homem disse: "A Bíblia não muda as pessoas. Isso é apenas um ensinamento antigo". O ancião respondeu: "Entendo. Mas se o que você diz fosse verdade e esse ensinamento antigo não tivesse nos mudado, você estaria agora sendo cozido naquela panela grande ali e estaria dentro da minha barriga. Nós éramos originalmente canibais".

Eu acredito que a igreja muda o mundo. Muda as famílias. Muda as crianças. Muda os relacionamentos conjugais. Muda o modo de vida de cada um. Assim como Paulo acreditou, nós também acreditamos e começamos a igreja aqui.

■ A Gentileza de Lídia O versículo 14 diz que Lídia era "uma temente a Deus". Embora vivesse em um mundo cheio de deuses gregos, ela era alguém que buscava o Deus verdadeiro, pensando: "Algo está errado" e "Deve haver um Deus verdadeiro". "Deus existe? Se sim, quem é Ele?" Creio que esta seja a pergunta mais importante para um ser humano, e ela estava buscando isso.

Então, ela ouviu a mensagem de Paulo e creu: "Ah, entendi! Jesus é o Salvador!" Assim, ela e sua família foram salvas. Mas a história não termina aí. Diz que ela implorou: "Se me julgais fiel ao Senhor, entrai em minha casa e ficai ali", e ela os persuadiu a fazer isso. A palavra "persuadiu" ou "forçou" é interessante. Talvez Lídia fosse muito persistente e entusiasmada. "Por favor, venham para minha casa. Por favor, usem minha casa." Paulo e os outros devem ter hesitado no início: "Não, já temos onde ficar". "Não digam isso! Por favor, venham. Usem a casa, tem espaço suficiente." "Não, mas acabamos de nos conhecer..." "O que foi, não confiam em mim? Se me julgais fiel ao Senhor..." Isso me lembra de uma vez em que recebi pão de uma senhora desconhecida no trem. E assim, a casa de Lídia tornou-se a base para o Evangelho.

■ A Primeira Igreja Europeia era uma "Casa" Depois disso, muitas coisas aconteceram. Paulo e seus companheiros foram perseguidos por pregar o Evangelho e jogados na prisão. Mas Deus é maravilhoso, Ele pode transformar o negativo em positivo e o pior na melhor situação. O carcereiro que vigiava a prisão e sua família também foram salvos. Quando Paulo foi libertado, embora os magistrados da cidade tenham pedido que saíssem, o versículo 40 diz algo muito interessante:

Atos 16:40 Tendo eles saído da prisão, entraram em casa de Lídia; e, vendo os irmãos, confortaram-nos, e depois partiram.

Os "irmãos" referem-se aos cristãos. Não apenas Lídia e sua família, mas havia outras pessoas salvas. As pessoas que se tornaram cristãs estavam reunidas na casa de Lídia. Diz que Paulo "confortou-os" ou encorajou-os, certamente pregando a eles. A cena que fazemos agora estava ali presente. Era um grupo muito pequeno, não era uma catedral, era uma "casa". Mas a igreja nasceu ali. Esta foi a primeira igreja na Europa. A igreja que moveria a história nasceu assim. Começou pequena, e não devemos esquecer que começou com a pequena oferta de uma mulher.

2. O Deus que Usa a Pequena Gentileza

■ Sem Intenção, mas Usado pelo Senhor Lídia não pretendia construir a "primeira igreja na Europa" nem mudar a história. Ela simplesmente fez o que podia. Deus usou essa pequena gentileza. Por trás de grandes eventos, muitas vezes está escondida uma pequena bondade.

Na década de 1940, o Professor Chandrasekhar, da Universidade de Chicago, dirigia cerca de 300 km (ida e volta) duas vezes por semana para dar aulas, mesmo no inverno rigoroso com neve e tempestades. Como suas aulas de Física eram muito difíceis, apenas dois estudantes estrangeiros se matricularam. A universidade sugeriu cancelar a aula por "ineficiência", mas ele recusou firmemente: "Enquanto eles quiserem aprender, eu irei". Esses "dois" estudantes foram Yang Chen-Ning e Tsung-Dao Lee, que ganharam juntos o Prêmio Nobel de Física em 1957. O professor disse: "Aquela direção na neve valeu a pena".

■ Gentileza Recebida na América Talvez vocês também tenham a experiência de terem sido apoiados pela gentileza de alguém. Quando eu estava estudando na América, chegou um momento em que eu não tinha dinheiro e precisava voltar para casa. Mas um casal de idosos da igreja disse: "More em nossa casa. Não precisa pagar aluguel nem comida. Ajudar você é ajudar a igreja no Japão", e eles me deixaram morar lá. Graças a essa gentileza, terminei o estágio e depois fui designado para a Igreja Cristã de Saiwaicho. E a partir daí, nasceu a Tsukuba Life Church. Pensando bem, se não fosse por aquela gentileza, esta igreja não existiria.

■ A Nossa Igreja Também Acho que o mesmo vale para esta igreja. A pessoa que abriu sua casa. A pessoa que traz as crianças para o pequeno grupo toda semana. A pessoa que convidou um amigo. A pessoa que ajudou a reformar este lugar por um preço baixo. Quem ajudou nisso. Quem limpou. Quem serve no computador. Quem ajuda no culto infantil. Todos contribuem com pequenas gentilezas, e é por isso que estamos aqui hoje.

Foi o mesmo quando estávamos fazendo cultos no estúdio fotográfico. O dono do estúdio mais próximo da minha casa era cristão por acaso e disse: "Usem toda semana". Não só isso, eles já tinham preparado tudo o que era necessário para o culto, pensando: "Espero que um dia este estúdio possa ser usado para cultos". Pensei que os caminhos de Deus são misteriosos. Usando também a gentileza dessa pessoa, estamos aqui agora. Acredito que Deus usa nossas pequenas gentilezas. Como no Evangelho, a história do menino que ofereceu seu lanche — cinco pães e dois peixes. Deus usou isso para realizar uma grande obra.

Deus usou a pequena sugestão de Lídia. Lídia apenas fez o que podia fazer. Mas Deus sabia de tudo. Ele sabia que ali seria a base para o Evangelho se espalhar.

Conclusão

Embora Paulo tenha partido com tristeza, a igreja em Filipos continuou a crescer. Paulo mais tarde escreveu uma carta para eles que está na Bíblia, e começa assim:

Filipenses 1:1 Paulo e Timóteo, servos de Cristo Jesus, a todos os santos em Cristo Jesus que estão em Filipos, com os bispos e diáconos.

A igreja cresceu. Surgiram bispos e diáconos, que são como os pastores de hoje. Os cristãos amadureceram, líderes foram estabelecidos e parece que havia reuniões em várias casas.

Filipenses 1:6 Estou plenamente certo de que aquele que começou boa obra em vós a há de completar até ao dia de Cristo Jesus.

A obra que Deus começou, Deus mesmo terminará. Hoje, acredito na mesma coisa. Deus começou, Deus completará. Embora haja problemas para resolver, como o prédio, Deus começou e Deus terminará.

Claro que tenho grandes sonhos. Espero que Tsukuba seja uma cidade com muitos cristãos. Espero que esta seja uma igreja onde sua família seja salva. E espero que sejamos uma igreja que apoia as missões mundiais. Por causa desta cidade e por sermos nós, acredito que há coisas que só nós podemos fazer.

Mas não precisamos pensar em "fazer grandes coisas". Apenas sejamos fiéis nas pequenas coisas, valorizando cada culto. Porque Deus usará grandemente nossas pequenas gentilezas e nosso pequeno serviço.

Madre Teresa disse algo maravilhoso: "Não podemos fazer grandes coisas neste mundo. Só podemos fazer pequenas coisas com um grande amor." (We can do no great things, only small things with great love.)

E foi exatamente isso que Jesus fez por nós. Jesus, que realizou a maior coisa da história, olhou para cada indivíduo. Em um canto do mundo, Ele fez pequenas coisas que ninguém via com um grande amor. Que sejamos seguidores desse exemplo. Em casa, no trabalho, na vida, fazendo pequenas coisas com um grande amor, e acreditando que Deus usará isso grandemente.

Quem acredita, vamos dizer um "Amém" bem alto.
